Day #17 Yunomi with Pebble Saucer – 1LB of Clay – 25 Ways

Day #17 Yunomi with A Pebble Saucer – 1LB of Clay 25 Ways!

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS: The pebble saucer! The texture is made from an earring left to me by my grandmother when she passed away. I created a bisque stamp from it that when randomly pressed it resembles pebbles! The smooth texture of the Yunomi matched with the soft rippled top of the saucer. It really made me think of a river setting…and I also truly love this piece.
SOMETHING I DON’T USUALLY DO:   For those that care about technique: In this 1LB of clay project series I throw a little differently than I normally would because I need to use every bit of the 1LB. Since I need to have some clay left over to create the remaining parts of a piece, I leave quite a bit of clay to trim off the bottoms after I throw. Most of the time I do not have this much to trim off because I know I can just grab a handful of from my handy bag if I need more. Keeping it within 1LB is a challenge, but has been so much fun to solve the challenges that come my way. 🙂
Hope you enjoyed today’s piece and I’ll be back at it again tomorrow!!
Thanks for watching and go ENJOY SOME CLAY!
