Kiln Opening – 6 Sets of Handmade Tea Cups, Saucers, Creamers & Sugar Bo…

A quick clip vlogging some thoughts (chatting stops at about 3 minutes in) and what I’ve been working on in ceramics this month…handmade ceramic tea sets & closing out the “365 Days of Clay Cups” project by readying all the pieces for the gallery show on March 1st. The project saucer I’m firing in here is actually for Cup #130..I didn’t glaze them at the same time, but think they will go very well together http://hobbypotter.com/101-150_cup_videos_photos.html if you want to see what it goes with!

PURCHASING A CUP from the 365 DAY PROJECT: The beginning of the video gives instructions on how to purchase cups (please let me know by February 21 if you would like me to hold a cup (tammy@hobbypotter.com). If after, please contact the Chartreuse Muse Art Gallery in Modesto, CA.-
209-522-0935 March 1- May 1, 2012).

***Visit: http://www.hobbypotter.com to check availability until March 1st …..after that please contact the art gallery.

Thanks so much for watching!

  1. Hi Tammy, I want to commend you for taking on such a huge project as 365 cups. I to am a hobby potter, and do not make cups/mugs although that is why I originally started playing with clay. I usually do functional items, but I'm totally intrigued with 'Raku' and have done 4 weeks of workshops in it, although it's not food safe, it's still wonderful to look at. I am justing getting used to this new laptop and the internet in general, since retiring at the end of 2011. Is this a blog that I'm writing on or is it your private message site?

  2. Hi Bill, Thank you so much and welcome to the wonderful world of the internet…this is my blog! There is more information in cyberspace than anyone can possibly absorb, but I owe 99% my clay education to resources to it. Youtube has been my biggest teacher (there are quite a few Raku videos on there)!

Raku…now that's something on my list of things to do! I'd sure love to see what you are creating in the workshops. If you have a facebook account you can share photos (hint, hint because I'd like to see)!!!
